A volunteer writes: Upon meeting Rena it’s impossible not to notice that she has very recently been a mom, but she is so many other things. Starting with…wonderful! She is a dog that is super cuddly and will quickly make herself at home on your lap, draping across and closing her eyes as you pet her. A dog that LOVES to play fetch, will gently prop her paws up on you while holding the ball to share her joy and soak up some more loving, and later sprawl out to chew on her prize (she loves those tennis balls to pieces!). A dog that is excited to go on walks which might manifest as pulling, seems housebroken, and “sit”s for treats. A dog that seems to like others and has done well in our playgroups. She is a dog that has an incredibly soft personality, a really fun playful side, and is sweeter than sweet! And do you know what she could be? Yours! Please come meet Rena at Brooklyn ACC.
For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues. If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process. * We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.* For more info on behavior codes and ratings, please click here: http://information.urgentpodr.org/acc-placement-status-descriptions.
