A Little Bit About Me…
….And then there’s Maude! This lovely lady is Maude. She is a 4 year old medium-large female mixed breed. She has a beautiful brindle coat, and a just as beautiful personality. Although she found her way to us as a stray, it is very likely she has been owned by someone at some point due to her awesome behavior and lady like manners! She is still in her prime, so she definitely has plenty of energy! So if you’re someone who loves the outdoors and doesn’t like to see life pass you by, well than we may have found you a perfect friend to share adventures with! We do know that she has spent some time around children without any problems, so we are sure that she would love to help her Mom and Dad tire out her new siblings!! (And herself of course…) She is also currently participating in our daily play groups during her stay here at our Brooklyn location, and she has been such a “Playgroup Rockstar” that she is one of our main “greeter” dogs! (Basically means she is one awesomely behaved girl!) We don’t know how she is around cats at the moment, but that does not mean it’s a deal breaker if you own a kitty. Just make sure to mention that so we can set up a meet and greet! So if you couldn’t tell by now, Maude is one heck of a pooch! So come meet this special girl…you wont be disappointed!
The Foster Writes: Maude is the best! Not only is she beautiful, she’s one of the most loving dogs you’ll meet. She can be a tad shy at first. Once she gets to know you, though, she’ll be your best friend. She loves to cuddle and just wants to be near you when you are home. The minute we come home, she’ll greet us at the door and sniff us. She’s also one of the best-behaved dogs I’ve ever met. She’s totally housetrained. She has free range of the house and has never destroyed anything. She knows sit and stay. Most importantly, she’s extremely food motivated! She’s already to learn new tricks. Maude is low to medium energy. She’s happy to stay home and watch tv with you. But she also loves going for long walks. When you pick up the leash, she’ll get very excited! She’ll jump around and start wagging her tail like crazy. Once we’re outside, Maude is happy to sniff and explore the park. She may need a little help learning how to appropraitely greet dogs on leash, but she was a playgroup Rockstar and greeter, so we know she can pick up on polite greetings in no time. Adopt Maude. She’ll be your best friend!
