History : return, 6 months. o reports one seizure like episode but very unclear from this account if the dog was shaking or seizuring. Subjective: Observed Behavior -bar, playful
Objective: T =. P =100. R =wnl. BCS 4/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted. Oral Exam: mod staining PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: neutered
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. ear hair dyed blue. CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Assessment: healthy. possible history of seizures Prognosis:fair
owner reported one questionable seizure in 6 months. Even if seizure disorder is present, whether treatment is needed is questionable
Plan: AMC bloodwork reguested: wnl if another seizure occurs, recc BA test +/- ultrasound. A “wait and see” approach is alos valid. If seizures do not occur or are very infrequent, treatment is not needed.
