I am head over heels about Cocoa and I just met her yesterday… She is so easily “passed over” though….Why ? She is a brindle and a quiet pooch in her kennel….A gem like her ….I could not ignore. I had to see more…and “verify” all the wonderful things I had heard about her and watched on the videos shot by other volunteers…It was all true and so much more…I was in awe…The perfect dog I would love to be the proud parent of. Indeed, Cocoa ” works” in sync with whoever “deals” with her, human or dog. There is halo of peace, harmony and tranquility around her. There is no way one can envision who she really is just looking at Cocoa in her den. She walks beautifully on the leash, almost dancing. She nears other dogs with such grace. She is a greeter in playgroups with her peers, mingling with males and females, shy and pushy dogs. She is the perfect moderator while enjoying herself. She is attuned to her caretaker, picks up quickly cues like the pro she is. She loves attention without being needy , her face beaming with the warmest smile when I caress her thick velvety dress. Cocoa is a gorgeous girl with a golden heart. I so hope she will never be alone again and will find at last the new master who waited without knowing it, so long before to meet her and take her home… Cocoa is at the Manhattan Care Center, she will need you very soon..
