04/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cali walks calmly on leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Cali was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. She was not interested in toys. She rushed in confidently towards the friendly dog with a tense body, ears erect and high tail wag. The behavior department feels that she may do best with an experienced adopter who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful but unresponsive when touched. Approaches the Assessor when the game ends. Dog is likely crouching, may have long lip or lip lick. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food 1: No interest. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog – dog 3.
