Medical Summary scan: neg sex: female intact est age: 6-7yrs S/O: Dog is QAR, mildly dehydrated BCS 3-4/9 EENT – erythema and dark brown debris AU Grade 1-2/4 dental dz Heart/lungs auscult wnl There is subcutaneous emphasema extending up both sides of chest There are multiple puncture wounds to ventral neck and thorax, there is a puncture wound to cranio-ventral thorax that appears to have an extensive SQ pocket and is actively bleeding Amb x 4, but ataxic Vulva and nipples are enlarged Offered small amount of wet dog food, ate readily A: Multiple puncture wounds to ventral neck and thorax consistent with dog bite wounds P: Placed soft muzzle and bathed dog with chlorhexidine and luke-warm water Gave 0.9cc Hydromorphone SQ for pain Cleaned AU We are unable to provide the level of care this dog needs in the shelter environment; recommend she be transported to outside vet for drain placement and possible surgical exploration of wound; also concerned about ataxia PROGNOSIS: Fair
