12/06/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Hellllllllooooooo beautiful! Avera is so quiet in her kennel, up front, lying down and she knows that one of these visits will be for her. I promised, and I always keep my promises. Easily leashed, and going potty the moment we were outside, Avera checks up often as we walk, sometimes touching her nose to my hand and always wagging her tail. Photos are our first stop, Avera making soft eye contact with her gorgeous amber yes, tilting her head when I make kissy sounds at her, and letting me take my time. She’s a fan of the squirrels coming to investigate if any treats might be coming their way and she and the squirrels have a staring contest to see who gives up first. We move on quickly as the squirrels get bold, Avera wagging her gorgeous plume tail. It’s off leash where her inner puppy takes hold, playing with a ball, pouncing on it with her clumsy puppy feet and having the best time. Keep away is a fun game and Avera will come towards me with the ball in her mouth, swerving at the last minute as I reach out. So cute – and she wins every time! She loves romping in group with her peers, respectful of other dogs who have different play styles. Kisses, tail wags, gentle affection are all part of what makes Miss Avera a rock star. Throw in her lush, gleaming black coat, trimmed nails, perfect weight and this is a young lady who seems to have come from a place where she was loved. Let’s make it happen again as I’m in love with her, and know that you will be too.
