04/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Omelly is fearful of the shelter environment he walks with a low and fearful body language. He was shy and fearful but stay close to the assessor during the assessment – low body and tail. Omelly became very fearful while playing tag repeatedly spins toward the touch, and repeatedly tries to exit. He was not interested in toys. Omelly does not approach other dog, turns body to side. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter no young children. Omelly is somewhat fearful and needs time to warm up to the handler. Omelly has been showing fearful behavior and avoids interaction in the care center. We cannot be certain if behavior may be suppressed as a result of the shelter environment. Please note that behavior may change when Omelly is more comfortable and settled in a home environment. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2. Dog accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, fearful body language, mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 3.
