05/24/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/24/16 20:34 Behavior during intake: Zora was found in St. Mary’s park as a stray. She was very friendly with her finder. This dog was loose body and trying to jump into my lap during the intake process. She allowed me to collar her with no issue. She does not seem to know any commands yet but when I tapped lightly on her backside and said sit, she did sit.

05/27/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: It is hard for me to believe that Zora is five years old. I will only concede that she is well mannered as a five year should be, but otherwise, in appearance and actions, she is all puppy. I LOVE Zora, her given name, her naughty and spunky looks and mostly her amazing and affectionate personality. I would spend hours and hours with Zora if I did not have to attend to other dogs in need at the care center. She is fun to be with, lively and such a “feel good” gal. She is one of my best lap dogs, a great kisser and hugger. Her face is so expressive, her smile, her glittery eyes, her happiness to love and to be loved. She really is all what a pet should be! Zora is a great walker. She seems used to a leash and does not pull at all. No pigeon-chasing, and she is so glad to meet other dogs, big and small. She does her business as soon as we are out of the building. I guess that she is housetrained. Zora is, in some way, petite at 43 pounds. She is well dressed, healthy and has carried a litter or two. Her shape is great, though and she seems to have been well cared for until her unfortunate abandonment. One thousand thumbs up for Zora, a wonderful pooch, great with people and other dogs. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center and treat yourself to an outstanding forever best friend!!
