Microchip noted on Intake? scan negative History : owner surrender, brought in by police, hx of biting Subjective: QAR in large carrier Observed Behavior – fearfull, hiding in corner of large carrier, growling when approached Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen – yes, OU episcleral hemorrhage, severe *sedated exam due to behav + history gave 0.7 ml/0.7ml DexDom/Torb IM; reversed with 0.5mL Antisedan IM Objective *P = wnl R = wnl BCS 5/9 EENT: OU severe episcleral hemorrhage; AS mild inflammation; no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: very limited/muzzle in place, nsf PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: *sedated auscult. – nsf, NMA; Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: soft, no masses palpated; nsf U/G: intact female, no SS observed, prominent vulva MSI: Ambulatory x 4 as best could tell from movement in carrier, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat/shedding a lot CNS: mentation appropriate (prior to sedation) – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: not performed Assessment: OU episcleral hemorrhage – likely due to traumatic handling when picked up vs other trauma vs metabolic – fearful/aggressive behav. Plan: lubircated eyes ,gave 2 mL Rimadyl (50 mg/ml) SC once – recheck eyes (likely on visual exam) to make sure resolving Prognosis: good SURGERY: Okay for surgery
