A Little Bit About Me…

A volunteer writes: Everybody wants to take  him out…I almost had to wait for my turn… Zinc never has enough of outings and is always waiting at his door. Leashed easily, he  walks beautifully at my pace, sniffing occasionally his new surroundings, doing his business and nearing other dogs , big and small without any problem. Of note is that Zinc is a polite part taker in playgroups with his peers. He is without any doubt a huge attraction, a head turner…Zinc is a Great Dane, lanky on spindly legs. His muscles and bones are dancing under a tight shiny and silvery coat. He is a masterpiece in need of your help to make of him a totally breathtaking work of art. Zinc is a sociable and friendly character, a hungry caterpillar too who searches my bag for treats, uninvited. Should I scold him? Hum..I can forgive him for now but once  his weight is back to normal….proper manners will have to be enforced…Zinc does come when called(mostly that he knows that I have treats), jumps for more and will not sit. He does not really go after a ball but I believe that once his immediate needs are fully cared for, he will learn all the great benefits of being a beloved pet, like  being petted, played with, sleeping on the owners bed and splurging on good food…to name a few… Have I tempted you enough? Zinc is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. He so would love to be your forever four legged best friend.

Let’s get to know each other a bit more…

Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
