April’s crummy weather got you down? Feeling blue, a little lonely? Not getting enough pure, unadulterated affection from an incredibly handsome, four-legged, snuggle bug? Who is? But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Meet Zenon! At 6 months-old Zenon has a few top priorities you’ll need to be aware of. 1) Kisses. 2). Sloppy kisses. 3) Giving you kisses 4) Giving you sloppy kisses. Work for you? Perfect. Zenon (or as I call him, “loverboy”) wears his heart on his furry sleeve and isn’t afraid to show it. From the moment we’re outdoors this stunning lad bounds up and down the pen looking for a snuggle and/or his next adventure. He is a ball of love bouncing within these four, chain-link walls and just a marvel to watch. He is so well taken care of, so perfectly lean, his coat a warm caramel color with only hints of black throughout. I lure him back to my side with treats (another top priority) that he takes gently from my hand. I rub his crinkly ears (no doubts about his Boxer lineage) and for that I am paid in more kisses. Our loverboy makes it just impossible not to love him. Moments later a pup appears next door and I am quickly forgotten. Zenon dashes to the edge to the fence, that boxer nose pressed right up against it, and then bows again and again to his neighbor. He grunts adorably before skipping to the left, then to the right all while his older neighbor stands still his head just tilted to one side. But Zenon barely notices. Like a butterfly in spring Zenon flits from one attraction to the next and everything to him is beautiful. What must it be like to love so freely and so fully? To have endless curiosity and zest for life? To give your heart unabashedly and always seek adventure? No need to wonder. Come meet Zenon and know for sure. Zenon is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan’s ACC.
