Zena… I love this name..I know why it was given to this gorgeous and stocky young lady..She is tough looking and is not the type to take any monkey business from anyone… She stands firm on her four, one ear up and one ear down, all clad in grey, muscular and looking me right in the eyes…, I, Zena, do not belong to a kennel. A girl of my lineage is born to respond to one master and protect my home. Zena the warrior, still was a mommy, once upon the time. I can see her looking tenderly at her brood. I also smiled when she gave me a tiny miny kiss after keeping her distances during most of our time together. Zena does walk well on the leash. She even eliminates on the way. She accepts to pose for pictures and even sat upon my order. She will show her pride with other dogs but will accept tail high, a handsome male brushing our pen and showing interest in her. Zena is quite a character but she is growing in me. She might not fit the standards we most have for the ideal forever best friend but I do believe that there is a human/canine match for everyone…I do not really know Zena, I wonder what was her life like, I imagine she has her issues but she certainly made an impression on me. Yes, Zena is on my mind… Zena is at the Manhattan Care Center. Wrapped in Zena’s armor might be a little girl dream, the dream to belong to you.
