09/20/16 16:05 BASIC INFORMATION Yeezy is a beagle that is 5 years old. The owner rescued Yeezy was a gift to the family. However the owner is surrendering Yeezy due behavior issues. Yeezy has no known illness. SOCIALIZATION Yeezy has lived with 3 adults in the house. He is very affectionate and playful. He has never lived with small children .When stranger come to visit Yeezy becomes tense, he barks and lunges. He is escorted to the bedroom when new people arrive and his confined by a baby gate. Yeezy has never lived with cats or dogs. BEHAVIOR Yeezy allows all handling. He is relaxed around the family. He allows receiving baths, having his food bowl touched while eating & removing toys from his mouth. He is house trained and walked 3 times a day. Yeezy guards the owner and any family member in the home. He is barks, lunges and growls. But he has never had a bite history. When the owner is doing errands he is confined in the living with a baby gate. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Yeezy is described as affection, playful and anxious. Yeezy favorite activity is to follow the family around the house. His sometimes like chew bones and balls. However he enjoys walks around the neighborhood or the park. Yeezy knows the commands sit, stay come and lay. His favorite dog food is pedigree dry and wet mixed. Yeezy’s favorite placed to sleep is his dog bed in the bedroom. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Yeezy was very tense. He barked when counselor approached and did not allow any petting or handling. But with the owner assistance he was collard, scanned and photographed.

Yeezy previously lived with 3 adults in the house. The owner stated Yeezy is very affectionate and playful towards the adults, but when stranger come to visit Yeezy becomes tense, he barks and lunges. The owner mentioned Yeezy is house-trained. It was reported by the owner Yeezy guards the owner and any family member in the home, he will bark, lunge and growls. The owner describes Yeezy as affection, playful and anxious. At intake it was reported Yeezy was very tense, he allowed all handling by the owner. During SAFER Yeezy came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, he was friendly and social towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Yeezy joins the game during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Yeezy was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Due to some concerns stated from the previous owner, the behavior department feels he can be suitable for an experience adopter with no children and we recommend a slow introduction. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is between his legs, body a bit tense with his mouth closed. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog jumps on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1: 3. Dog is soft in body and eye, and moves his legs/body so that the Assessor is unable to hold the paw. Flank squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Flank squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Toy 1: 2. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is between you and the toy, and he is loose and wiggly. No growling or stiffness. Dog-dog: In a group of playful male and female dogs, Yeezy becomes overwhelmed and will display a lip curl when dogs come too close for his comfort level. He offers correction when a dog attempts to mount him or attempts a face to face greeting.

According to Yeezy’s previous owner, Yeezy has never lived with other dogs. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Yeezy initially solicited gentle play with the female greeter dog. In a group of playful male and female dogs, Yeezy becomes overwhelmed and will display a lip curl when dogs come too close for his comfort level. In a group of calm male and female dogs, Yeezy mostly keeps to himself as he explores the yard. He displays soft body language throughout the session. When a male attempts to mount Yeezy, Yeezy offers a hard correction by grabbing the other dog’s face. The Behavior Department recommends that Yeezy be placed in a home with dogs that match his calm energy level. 9/21: Yeezy displays soft body language as he greets the female dog. He is social, checking in on her often and eventually solicits gentle play with play bows. 9/22: In a group of playful male and female dogs, Yeezy becomes overwhelmed and will display a lip curl when dogs come too close for his comfort level. He offers correction when a dog attempts to mount him or attempts a face to face greeting. 9/23, 9/27: In a group of calm male and female dogs, Yeezy mostly keeps to himself as he explores the yard.
