09/23/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/23/16 15:43 Xanadu is an adult female APBT mix. She was brought to ACC with 2 other dogs after they were removed from their apartment by police. Xanadu had a loose, wiggly body, wagging tail, and open mouth while we pet her, scanned her (-), collared her, and photographed her. She leaned against us while we pet her. She maintained a loose, wiggly body around the other 2 dogs, including while the other female dog growled at her, and when the male dog put his front paws on her back, possibly trying to mount her.
10/04/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: “Did you say squirrel? Where? Oh — I see him — way up there! And birds, too! This is the best park ever! I’m having a ball!” Miss Xanadu is a pretty little reddish/brownish/caramelish girl who loves to be outside, who loves to chase squirrels (they are relentless and taunting in our nearby park), loves treats, loves hugs of any kind (in lap, standing up), and has the most adorable habit of weaving/standing between my legs for comfort/petting or whatever the reason is. On her first playdate, Xanadu allowed the helper dog to greet her briefly, but became uncomfortable with a prolonged greeting. Xanadu is sleek, pretty and in need of a loving person or family with whom she can snuggle to her heart’s content. She’s a total snuggle girl yearning to release her inner snuggle to the right person. Is that you?

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 9/24/16 During her initial medical exam Xanadu was a little tense and nervous. ENERGY LEVEL: RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (Suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience) _X_Recommend no dog parks (Xanadu should require slow introductions with other dogs as it may take time to become comfortable in the presence of dogs who are unfamiliar to her.)
