Whitey is described as playful, curious, energetic, and affectionate. Whitey has interacted with his owner’s 2month old baby. Whitey would constantly sniff the baby’s head and lick at him. Whitey also interacted with a female pit-bull in the home. Whitey would sniff at her and try to play with her but she would snap at him. When he notices other dogs outside he will wag his tail and try to approach them. His owner noted that he is submissive to other dogs that show aggression towards him, he would lie down on the floor in front of them.
BEHAVIOR:
Whitey would follow his owner around the home. He doesn’t mind if he is approached while eating or with having his food touched. Whitey is accustomed to being bathed every 3 weeks. He will sit still and allow his owner to bathe him and trim his hair with clippers. Whitey enjoys being petted and having his belly rubbed. His owner noted that he doesn’t like being forcibly grabbed from behind. He will growl and snap. Whitey will bark when people knock at the door. He will bark at new people that enter the home until he is allowed to approach and sniff them. Whitey is restricted to one area to the home when left alone. He is well behaved but will sometimes have small accidents if he isn’t walked for a long time.
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW:
Whitey may come when called but doesn’t respond to any commands. He likes to chew on rubber toys, balls and sticks. His favorite game is tag. He is accustomed to being allowed out in the yard 2x a day to play and relieve himself. If he is walked outside, he is always walked on leash. Whitey eats Pedigree dry dog 2 cups a day. His owner noted that he will vomit sometimes, normally after he drinks water or a car ride. He sleeps in the bedroom with his owner.
