A volunteer writes: ” No Time ” is the reason why sweet Weezy, owned since tender puppy hood by the same owners, is with us…I wonder what his people had in mind when they call him Weezy as when I asked around, that name has so many meanings. Take your pick ! Our Weezy is a gentle soul who lived in peace with children of all ages, three large dogs and even a cat…He is described as true family dog, friendly, affectionate, playful, easy going and free of any handling issues. I met Weezy the night he arrived at our facility . He was a bit lost but his tail was wagging and he sat next to me, accepting caresses on his head. I promised that I would look for him each time I visit the care center. Weezy is waiting at his door and is leashed easily. It is a breeze to walk him. He seems to be one of the characters of Maurice Sendak book: “Where the Wild Things are”…except that Weezy is not unruly at all… He is a bit tubby, waddles slowly on sore feet carrying a little too much load for them. He appreciates a bowl of water and a rest at my feet. The heat and humidity are not his cup of tea. His face is most unusual looking, so reminding me of a Boxer that most likely is part of his ancestry. Wheezy is not fond of being tethered for pictures but he loves to just lay down and smoosh with his caretaker. Soft treats are very much to his like..Weezy is a very likable pooch who came to us with excellent credentials. He so belongs to a home sweet home where he will still for years to come, offer his love and loyalty to a deserving new master. Come and meet Weezy at the Manhattan Care Center and take him home as your very own best friend.
Another volunteer writes: Brownnie is definitively more energetic than when he arrived at the care center. He goes now to the park, so happy to be in company and feel the grass under his feet that feel and look so much better. No more huffing and puffing. His tail is wagging and his face is now showing a smile. He is such a great guy, a good boy so peaceful, so well behaved and glad to meet little and big dogs. Caresses, sweet talks, hugs and prolonged time together with his caretaker are his favorite. Brownie is really a very sweet and feel good dog anyone would love to spend time with. Imagine watching TV or reading a good book with such a friend…..Brownnie so deserves a great new master and a loving owner so deserves a dog like Brownnie. Do not make him wait any longer…Brownnie is longing for you.
