04/22/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Violet perfectly reflects her name; a delicate, pretty and diminutive flower who wants only to love, love, love on everyone she meets. Look at that adorably serious face framed by her every-which-way ears and just try to resist joining in the snuggle’n’smooch fest that follows wherever she goes! Violet arrived at the Care Center with twin sister Plum and two big brothers, Barney and Grape, so she’s used to being surrounded by family, but has still taken the switch to kennel life in her stubby-legged stride. After some initial shyness, she eagerly toddles down the street, taking care of her business, sniffing all around and eyeing the passing people and dogs with friendly curiosity. In the park, she sits politely for photos (and treats, of course!) and tolerates being dressed in a cute but silly pink hoodie like a champ. All four ‘purple’ siblings (those names, get it?) are relaxed and gentle dogs with great social skills, and I like to picture Violet as the baby of the family, a beloved and pampered (yet humble) Princess who can do no wrong. Beautiful inside and out, little Violet would love to snuggle her way into a new home today–the more people to love, the merrier! Another volunteer writes: I’m the self appointed President of the Violet Fan Club, but willing to relinquish my title to her new person. She has the softest, sweetest, schmushiest face, her tail never stops wagging, and her way of introducing herself to a new person is with a hug and a kiss. You won’t stay a new person for more than 5 seconds! She’s great on leash, seems to be housetrained, looks up as we walk, and loves treats as much as she loves cuddles. She’s amazing and waiting to prove it to you.
