PROFILE :
Vinny is approximately 8 years old, he was surrendered due to owner being in the hospital. Upon intake Vinny was wiggly showed a loose body, mouth open. During intake he attempted to mount the other male dog, but when removed he relaxed as was playful with the other dog. He allowed the counselor to take a photo and collar him with no issue.

Behavior toward dogs: Vinny was relaxed and playful with the other dog.
Other notes: Vinny allowed the counselor to take a photo and collar him with no issue.
ASSESSMENT:
Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands.
Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item.
Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft.
Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw.
Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw.
Toy 1: No interest.
Summary: Vinny was a bit shy initially, but was social towards the assessor. Vinny displayed no behavioral concerns.
PLAYGROUP:
When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Vinny is social, checking in on the other small male and female dogs often as he explores the pen.
Vinny was surrendered as a stray so his past behavior around dogs is unknown.
