01/08/17 12:26 Vinny approached finder when finder sat down and allowed all handling. Behavior during intake: Vinny had a loose and wiggly body during intake. I was able to scan for a mc, collar and take a picture without any issues.

KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered male, Stray Other notes: Vinny had a loose and wiggly body during intake, allowed all handling. SAFER ASSESSMENT:1/10/17 Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog jumps on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Dog licks hand. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Dog licks hand. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Summary: Vinny was highly sociable and attention seeking during his behavioral assessment, he displayed no concerns. PLAYGROUP: Vinny was brought in as a stray so his behavior around other dogs is unknown. When greeting a novel female, Vinny displays soft body language. He is slightly sexually motivated, licking the female’s genital area, but does not attempt to mount. He is tolerant of her play solicitations, but displays look aways indicating that he does not wish to engage. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 1/8/17 Vinny was soliciting attentions during his initial medical examination and readily allowed all handling. Vinny was brought in as a stray so his behavior around other dogs is unknown. 1/9: Unfortunately, Vinny was unable to come to playgroup today. When we removed him from his kennel and brought him outside he had significant bleeding coming from his mouth so we instead brought him to medical for an exam. 1/10: Vinny was able to be placed into playgroup today. When greeting a novel female, Vinny displays soft body language. He is slightly sexually motivated, licking the female’s genital area, but does not attempt to mount. He is tolerant of her play solicitations, but displays look aways indicating that he does not wish to engage. 1/12: Vinny was introduced to a neutered male today. At first he avoided any direct contact and instead interacted with a female that was outside too. Eventually he does greet the other male with a stiff posture and very slow movements, then returns to keeping his distance from him.
