A volunteer writes:
Classy, elegant, gorgeous… are the words that define Cody at first sight. Spend time with him and you will discover the real Mc Coy…Cody is eager to step out of his kennel for a much needed walk. His first task is to relieve himself, then off we go for a promenade around the block . He strolls at a pace that suits me but sometimes speeds up. He is an energetic pooch who needs to exercise his long legs. Birds do not catch his interest and other dogs, although noticed,  do not seem to make his heartbeat go faster…Cody is at his best, leash free in a large pen. His shows his perfect sits, his hand/paw shakes , his nice table manners and his obedience to orders  ,   all  actions punctuated by a happy tail and a very soft gaze.. He accepts caresses in between, clearly showing that he is content of  being treated as he should. Cody’s sweet angel face turns into an excited, intense and driven one  when he sees a tennis ball. He waits (barely) for me to throw it, runs after it, jumps for it, performs head shots and finally catches it, bringing it back to me. “Next, faster…” I see the look in his eyes, his posture.. He is a player, not a destructor or a guarder. He is not hyper and could play for hours and hours…. Cody is a lot of fun to spend time with. Cody is with us for no fault of his own. His owner who took exquisite care of him, had no time for a pet anymore…but left with us outstanding comments about his dog. Cody seems to be more of a people dog(children included) and appears to be a little uncomfortable or mixed up with his own kind. May be more and savvy exposure to other dogs could help him out ?Cody got my votes. He is a beautiful, very attractive, friendly, enthusiastic and super playful dog  who will make a great companion to the new owner or family looking for an energetic and lively pet. Come and meet him in person at the Manhattan Care Center. I bet that Cody would love to show you all what he can offer…

A volunteer writes:   Say cheese! Seriously, have you ever seen a better smile, a more photogenic pup than this guy? Villy (we’re on a first name basis already) takes his modeling seriously, knowing that a winning smile is what it’s all about. He’s not all show though, he seems to be housetrained, is pretty good on the leash (pulls slightly from time to time), plops his butt down at the first sign of a treat coming his way (he takes them gently), and never stops wagging his tail. His gorgeous light cream color coat is lush and healthy looking, and the darker cream/gold accents on his ears and tail complete this stunning boy. His long legs could earn him a job as a runway model and his fun and lively personality is sure to keep everyone in a good mood. Villy loves to play ball, jumping for the catch and letting me take it right out of his mouth for another throw. His eyes sparkle with excitement as he waits for another throw. His fun, engaging personality coupled with his movie star good looks is sure to attract admirers. Shouldn’t you be first in line?
