ASSESSMENT:
Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands.
Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, ears back, mouth closed, eyes soft
Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body a bit low
Squeeze 1: 2. Dog pulls back paw
Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed
Toy 1. Minimal interest. Dog sniffs, then turn away.
Dog – dog 1. Dog approaches the helper, soft body, tail neutral, but not playful.
Summary: Villa displayed no concern during her behavior assessment.
PLAYGROUP:
11/17: When introduced off leash to other dogs in the care center, Villa initially ignores attempt at greeting. She shows brief interest in play when solicited, though quickly becomes overwhelmed and begins to avoid.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
Villa allowed all handling during her initial medical examination.
