04/09/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: A promise is a promise, and I promised Miss Vicky I would take her out and so I did. A tan dumpling, well fed, her tail never stops wagging and she peed so much as soon as we were outside she could raise the Hudson River by 5 inches! Miss Vicky pulls on the leash and when we got caught in a hail storm of all things, Vicky was a far better sport about it than me, ready to continue our walk even in heavy hail. Being the human side of the leash I led us under some cover to wait it out and Miss Vicky hung by my side wagging her tail smiling her hellos at passersby. When the hail stopped we continued our walk and each time we had to wait for a traffic light to cross the street Vicky gave me a stand up hug, looking sweetly into my eyes. In the yard she joins me on the bench for more cuddle time (love that!) and play bows (and woofs) at dogs in adjoining pens. In her first group she greeted the helper dog with interest to play and correcting an attempt to mount her. The Urban Dictionary’s definition of the name Vicky was clearly written just for her: strong, smart, sweet, good at anything she puts her mind to, great personality. Miss Vicky knows what she wants, and what she wants is the right person with whom to begin her happily ever after. Come meet her today and make her yours; it will be the best decision you’ll make all day!
