Medical Summary Sex: Male Scan: Negative Estimated age: 4-6 years based on dentition Fleas: No flea dirt noted. S: Calm, allows all handling and vaccinations O: BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, CRT <2 sec EENT: Matted fur on face, ears, beneath eyes. No discharge OU, AU, nose. Moderate tartar, gingivitis and gingival recession. Retained left maxillary decid K9 tooth. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. Fur coat very thick and matted. Saliva staining on feet. Very long nails. UG: Male intact, testicles soft and symmetrical. A: 1. Severe matting, long nails 2. Dental disease Short-term prognosis: Excellent P: 1. Administered Activyl 4-14# and pyrantel 0.7 ml PO during exam 2. Needs grooming and nail trim 3. Long-term medical needs include dental cleaning and X-rays, and extraction of retained baby tooth 1088
