A volunteer writes:
I am meeting more and more Lhasa Apsos at the care center and one is nicer than the other…I was always told to be careful around them but I am begining to think that it is all wrong…Our Uma is a very sweet soul and from the time she arrived at the care center, she has not changed a bit. This is why among the many meanings of UMA, I picked the name of the Goddess of fertility, love and devotion, which fits Uma so well. Uma is very calm in her kennel(although I occasionlly hear her protesting if she is not taken out) and sleeps curled up like a baby. She is happy to see a caretaker and is a great little walker who enjoys her daily walks to the nearby park. She is well behaved, docile, obedient and very affectionate. You can not get a better lap dog… Every single volunteer who took Uma out did use the word SWEET in his/her comments. That says a lot….Uma is a middle aged little gal who will make a lovely companion. She is lively while collected, sociable and loving. She will need, though, proper medical care to help her live healthy the still very long life she has ahead of her. Uma might be a tiny thing….but she is so worth your attention and a chance to be a beloved and pampered pet in your hands… Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center.
