06/01/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes “This young lady must have been the top of her charm school class! She went to the bathroom as soon as we got outside and various times throughout the walk. During the walk any time I called her name she’d turn toward and come to me for some TLC. She also heeled very nicely. She’s a trusting soul with lots of love to give.”  Another volunteer writes: There is something about coming around the corner and seeing a tiny 40 lb. pit bull mix snuggled on a staffer’s lap giving kisses!!! Even Ula’s intake picture shows her with a big smile on her face! She’s an awesome snuggle girl looking for a forever lap and a forever face to smother with sweet kisses. Ula means ‘sea jewel’ and she is indeed our Care Center jewel. Don’t pass up the chance to meet her today!! And yes, I have to be corny – ULA la!

05/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE

Ula pulls a bit on the leash. She was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. Ula was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. She followed the assessor and played tug of war with the leash when playing tag but she had a soft body language and was easy to distract her. Ula was not interest in toys. Ula needs a significant amount of exercise, mental stimulation. Ula did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home. Look: 2.
