04/17/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Old dogs are the best and Tyke is the cream of the crop! He has handled being away from the family he’s known for 13 years with resilience, class, and charm. He is always waggy and soliciting attention when I approach his cage and once out proves that he is still FULL of spunk. He pulls some on the leash but is responsive, seems housebroken, and seems fine and friendly when we encounter other dogs. He is very treat motivated and we’re told he knows commands (but his hind end bothers him sometimes so it’s okay to just give him treats for being Tyke!). He LOVES to play fetch and has a completely endearing habit of smacking the ball like bubble gum and then getting it stuck on his teeth. He’s previously lived harmoniously with children, is always excited to meet new people (and greet them with kisses), and if that isn’t enough…just look at that frosted red face! This sweet, sweet boy has been loyal to people his entire life and needs help finding the retirement home he deserves…please come see him at Brooklyn ACC!
