02/02/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
02/02/17 17:32 On intake, Twiggy’s tail was wagging. When her founder left, she began to whine but when counselor called her over she would stop for a while. Twiggy sat when counselor asked her to and gently took treats from her hand. When it was time for collaring, counselor sat next to Twiggy and asked her to sit again (which she did). Counselor collared her with no issues and was able to touch her paw without her flinching or pulling it away. When it came time for pictures, counselor walked Twiggy over to the area for pictures and she walked nicely with counselor. Counselor asked her to sit and stay and was able to get pictures of her without her moving.
02/06/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: I remember quite well Twiggy in the days.. Our Twiggy is not skinny but she is surely as beautiful as the fashion model, if not more. A petite toasty nugget she is at 36 pounds. I love her round little face with pretty markings and lively sparkling eyes. She is all excited to come out of her kennel and leashed in a hurry. She seems quite house trained and does her business right away as we exit the building. Twiggy walks beautifully on the leash, does not go after the birds and ignores other dogs neared. She does not seem to have actually mingled with her peers as we can see in playgroups(she is shy). Twiggy loves treats, begs insistently for them, even sits just at the sight of a jerky…She does not mind a scarf around her neck or the eye of my camera. Once her little stomach is full, Twiggy came to settle next to me for well deserved caresses and hugs. Twiggy is a real pleasure for the eyes, a cute lovely and determined bundle who is worth getting to know beyond one encounter. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center. Twiggy is waiting for you.

However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep her engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct her energy and enthusiasm.
