I am a female black min pinscher. The shelter thinks I am about 16 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/01/2016 from OUT OF NYC, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER DIED. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-068172.

08/02/16 12:21 Socialization Tuka is friendly around strangers. Tuka has been around kids’ ages 2, 8, and 10 and she behaved relaxed and tolerant. She will play in a gentle manner with kids as well as adults. She lived with young Chihuahuas, a 10 year old German Sheppard, and two five year old cats. Tuka was relaxed, respectful, and tolerant of all these pets. She will play in a gentle manner with both cats and dogs. Tuka lived around ferrets as well and was tolerant of them. Tuka has never bitten a person or animal. Behavior Tuka has no behavior issues. She is not bothered by loud or sudden noises. Tuka is not bothered if his food or bowl is touched. She is not bothered if a treat, rawhide, toy, or bone is taken away. She is not bothered if she is pushed off furniture, disturbed while sleeping, bathed, brushed, or trimming of her nails. For a New Family to Know Tuka is described as mellow, friendly, and quite at. Tuka has a medium activity level and at home she likes to stay in her favorite spot. She does not play much but will wag her tail if praised. She is kept mostly indoors and sleeps anywhere. She eats Pedigree 1 to 2 cups a day. Tuka is house-trained and does potty and grass. Tuka is well behaved when left at home alone as well as in the yard. She is crate trained and will do great for hours in the crate. She knows commands in Italian and Russian. Does not pull on leash and is rarely walked off leash because of her blindness. Behavior during Intake Tuka was tolerant of all handling during intake. Tuka was interested in treats and wagged her tail a lot. She was very interested in sounds of other animals in the shelter. No signs of aggression were displayed during intake.

Tuka walks calmly on leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Tuka was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. She was not interested in toys. Tuka was surrender to us. According to her previous owner Tuka is friendly around strangers. Tuka has been around kids’ ages 2, 8, and 10 and she behaved relaxed and tolerant. She will play in a gentle manner with kids as well as adults. She lived with young Chihuahuas, a ten year old German Shepherd, and two five year old cats. Tuka was relaxed, respectful, and tolerant of all these pets. She will play in a gentle manner with both cats and dogs. Tuka lived around ferrets as well and was tolerant of them. Tuka is not bothered if his food or bowl is touched. She is not bothered if a treat, rawhide, toy, or bone is taken away. Tuka did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful but unresponsive when touched. Approaches the Assessor when the game ends. Dog is likely crouching, may have long lip or lip lick. Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw.. Toy 1: No interest.
