DVM Intake Exam; Estimated age: 3.5 years ; Microchip noted on Intake? scan negative ; History : owner surrender; Subjective: Observed Behavior – tense but tolerated exam ; Objective ; BCS 7/9 ; EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted ; Oral Exam: limited oral exam, mild dental calc seen ; PLN: No enlargements noted ; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic ; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated ; U/G: FS ; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat ; CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment; overweight ; Plan: Prognosis: good ; recommend weight loss

Basic Information: Tucky is a 3 and a half year old spayed female that has no previous or current medical issues that the owner is aware of. Owner had Tucky in the home for almost 3 and a half years but had to surrender due to no time.
Previously lived with: 2 Adults
How is this dog around strangers? Around strangers, Tucky is friendly and respectful. Owner stated that sometimes when a stranger hovers over her, she will growl and air snap.
How is this dog around children? Owner did not have any children in the home so behavior is unknown. When Tucky was taken on walks and there were children around, she would have a wiggly body.
How is this dog around other dogs? Owner did not have any other dogs in the home but when Tucky was walked outside and she would see another dog, she would be relaxed and respectful.
How is this dog around cats? Owner did not have any cats in the home so behavior is unknown
Resource guarding: Tucky is not bothered by having her food, treats or toys taken away.
Bite history: Tucky does not have a bite history
Housetrained: Partially
Energy level/descriptors: High
Other Notes: Tucky is not bothered when someone takes away her food, treats or toys, being pushed off furniture, being held/restrained, being disturbed while sleeping, being given a bath, having her coat brushed, having her nails trimmed and when unfamiliar people would come to the house.
For a New Family to Know:
Tucky is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and excitable. She has a high activity level and likes to play with balls. In the home, she would like to follow the owner around from room to room. Tucky was kept mostly indoors and is mostly house trained. Owner stated that Tucky has accidents a few times a week where she urinates and defecates in the home. She was feed both wet and dry food brand Nature’s Promise. When left alone in the home, Tucky would sometimes have accidents in the home. Owner stated that Tucky has never been crate trained so behavior is unknown. Tucky knows the cues sit and stay. For exercise, she was taken jogging. When on leash, Tucky pulls very hard. Owner has walked Tucky off leash before and stated that she would stay by the owner’s side.
