A Little Bit About Me…

A volunteer writes: I can see why she is called True Blue. True, she is blue but from  the surrender’s notes I read, True Blue certainly  sounds like a very loyal and most wonderful friend. “She is caring  and likes to please”. She lived in harmony with many children and played well with big and small dogs. She was easy going, loving and playful. True Blue served well her humans as well as  countless puppies while in her prime. As her family could not care for her anymore, she is waiting with us for a new beginning that will ensure love, stability and dignity for her golden years.  True Blue is well mannered, collected and obedient. She is a great walker, does her business on the way and meets properly other dogs. In playgroups with her peers, males and females, she truly enjoys herself like a much younger gal. She comes when called, sits on command. There is a reason of course why she has been chosen to meet visitors to our centers(we call her a corporate dog). True Blue likes to sit calmly by my feet, enjoying  caresses, treats and just day dreaming….She provides a moment of peace to whoever , staff or volunteer taking care of her…If you like and know how to care for seniors, True Blue is a real treat, a gentle dame  who could embellish your days with her faithful and loving presence. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center.
Another volunteer writes:   On her bed, looking regal as can be, Ms. True Blue watches me approach and stands up to greet me with a quiet tail wag.   This is my first date with this gorgeous gal, but her reputation of being beyond amazing has preceded her.   Will she live up to my expectations?  You bet! And more!   She’s smaller than I expected her to be, housetrained, great on leash, has a sign on her kennel reading ‘Staff Pick of the Week’, and is easy peasy to be with.   Her outstanding resume as a family dog, her amazing choreography with different dogs in playgroup, her sweetness with people, her ease of taking treats, her sweet expression as she looks up, this is a dog I would make mine in a heartbeat if I could.   But you, lucky adopter will have that chance.   All you have to do is ask to meet True Blue and she’ll become your heart dog in no time.

A volunteer writes: As she strides down the street, she is calm and collected, and not so interested in all the stuff going on around her. Just calmly walking down the street, not pulling on the leash at all as some dogs of her breed do. She’s gentle and sweet and nice to be around. Overall, she’s just a very calm and easy-going and well behaved dog.
