Troy is not just another handsome pooch…He is a gentle, shy and well mannered pet who is easy to make friends with and to love. Although surrendered to us with no comment, Troy seems to have been beautifully cared for. He is gorgeous in his well groomed red and cream wiry coat. I love his Terrier beard. He is healthy, the perfect weight and even neutered…He’s got some training, sits on command, comes when called, seems housetrained and walks beautifully on the leash. He is civil to all dogs met and does not chase pigeons. He was not interested in a tennis ball but we can always try later again. Troy is a bit shy but likes caresses and will sit tightly between my legs for bonding. Troy is truly an unusual mix said to be a cross between an Irish Setter and a Pitie. The combination made for sure a wonderful dog! Troy can be found in our adoption quarters at the Manhattan Care Center. Come and meet him soon. He will make a dream forever best friend.
For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues. If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process. * We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.* For more info on behavior codes and ratings, please click here: http://information.urgentpodr.org/acc-placement-status-descriptions.
