02/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Helper dog: A1065653 Tricia came in as a stray, so her past behaviors in a home are unknown. During SAFER Tricia came into the assessment room tense and nervous, she was not interested with the assessor. Not all handling items were able to be conducted as Tricia freezes and growl at the assessor on the Look item. She displayed no interest in the toy item during this portion of the assessment. When on leash for a dog interaction with another dog on leash Tricia does not approach, but instead turns her body to the side and exits. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Look: 5. Dog freezes and growls. Toy: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog does not approach the helper dog. Turns body to side in relation to other dog, or exits.
