05/29/17 19:14 Basic Information: Travis is an American Staffordshire Terrier who was found sleeping on his finder’s porch. Around adults and children ages 7 to 8 years old Travis is friednly, relaxed and playful. While with finder Travis did not interact with any dogs or cats so it is unknwon how he will react to being around them. Travis did not attempt to bite any animals/people while with his finder. Travis was kept in his finder’s backyard and is decribed as friendly and confient with a medium activity level. Intake Behavior: Travis had a loose body during intake and enjoyed being pet by staff. Travis allowed staff to collar, scan for amcirochip an dtake pictures with nosigns of aggression.

Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is not moving with tense body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in Toy, dog smells, then turns away. Summary: Travis was social and relaxed. No concerns were seen during the handling assessment. PLAYGROUP: When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Travis displays soft body language when greeting a novel female dog. He is slightly sexually motivated and engages in cooperative play with the goal being to mount the female. When he cannot mount, he explores the pen.
