I am a male brown and white toy fox terrier mix. The shelter thinks I am about 7 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/01/2016 from NY 10466, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/04/16 12:13 changed asilomar–there is no firm evidence of neoplasia at this time 11/03/16 4:12 m sedaion with telazol 0.12m, atropine 0.24 ml, and dexdomitor 0.05ml IV lubricatn and LRS warmed were used to digitaly removed feces from herniate rectum. Feces was mostly soft, milked down from descending colons percutaneously lateral abd XR right, fecal material absent from perianal region, distal rectum. Just cranial to bladder apex there is a firm mass approx 3 cm diam, reversed with antisedan 0.05ml IM p; needs AUS to assess mass, surgical consult for perineal hernia prognosis depends on mass characteristic 11/02/16 13:41 right side perineal hernia–hernia is filled with stool and dog is obstipated removed small amount manually but needs deobstipation undersedation then placement with a group that can do corrective surgery. very nice dog–allowed all handling good prognosis with proper care lactulose 2 ml bid x 10d 11/1 BARH scan negative nervous, tense heavy tartar clean EEN clean coat swollen anal area NOSF

11/1/16 20:14 Basic information: Tobin was brought in as a stray. The finder found him on the street, the finder brought Tobin to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Tobin had tense, stiff body. Sydney would retreat from extended hand. He eventually allowed himself to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and picked up and placed in a dog kennel but still showed signs fear towards the handler.

KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 11/3/16 Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. His body posture is stiff and fearful, his tail is low and not moving. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 4. Dog repeatedly turns toward the Assessor’s hand with a very fast head movement. Tag: 3. Dog repeatedly turns quickly away when touched, and repeatedly tries to exit. Dog is crouching, tail is tucked, mouth closed, body stiff. Squeeze 1: 3. Dog head flips while pulling back paw. Flank squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Flank squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Toy: 1. No interest Dog/dog: 2. Dog does not approach helper dog Summary: Tobin was very fearful and uncomfortable with handling during his assessment. PLAYGROUP: Summary MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 11/2/16 During his initial medical exam Tobin appeared nervous and tense. ENERGY LEVEL: RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience _X_No children (under 13) Potential challenges: _X_Fearful/potential for defensive aggression (Tobin has been observed to display fearful behavior during his stay at our care centers; at times will avoid interaction and shy away from direct-touch. Tobin easily startles and is made uncomfortable by loud noises and sudden movement and will display proper warning signals as well as increase distance from anything that may present a threat. We cannot be certain if any other behavior is suppressed as a result of his environment. A period of decompression is advised before introduction or exposure to new and unfamiliar situations. Force-free, reward based training is advised.)
