DVM Intake Exam; Estimated age: ~4-6 years; Microchip noted on Intake? negative; History : o/s. O reported they’ve had her for a month and the past 2 weeks she has seemed sick and stopped eating the past few days.; Subjective: QARH. Eating well. No csvd.; Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures; Objective ; P = wnl ; R = eupneic ; BCS 4/9; EENT: Eyes have mucoid d/c ou with OD>OS, ears have moderate yellow waxy debris, no nasal discharge noted; Oral Exam: adult dentition with mild dental tartar, no oral lesions noted; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: FI, ~3cm pendulous MGT on right chain, no vulvar d/c; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat; CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment: ~3cm MGT on right side; Otitis externa; Conjunctivitis; Reported to be not eating by O ; Mild anemia; Severe leukocytosis; Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC; CBC-mild anemia 32.3 (37.3-61.7), severe leukocytosis 44.26 (5.05-16.76), neutrophilia 38.62 (2.95-11.64), monocytosis 2.05 (0.16-1.12), eosinopenia 0.04 (0.06-1.23) Chem-mild hypochloridemia 108 (109-122), mild hyperproteinemia 8.3 (5.2-8.2), mild hyperglobulinemia 5.6 (2.5-4.5), mild increase in ALP 231 (23-212) CXR scheduled; Eating well on intake, if appetite declines rec app stimulant; Gave LRS 20ml/kg SQ once; Gave cerenia 1mg/kg SQ once; Clean ears and eyes; Start terramycin OU BID x10d until 2/18(first dose given) Start tresaderm AU BID x10d until 2/18 (first dose given) Start baytril 10mg/kg PO SID x10d until 2/18 (first dose given); Rec rechecking BW in 1 week; Prognosis: Good pending MGTs; SURGERY: permanent waiver due to MGT
