PROFILE
Tino is a 9 year old Pomeranian that was given to his prior owner by her daughter when she got married two years ago. His prior owner has to surrender him now because she has to leave the country indefinitely.
RELATIONSHIP
He lived in a home with one adult. He is usually relaxed and playful around the children he has interacted with and he is usually gentle when he plays. He barks when strangers approach the house and is friendly when they approach his family. He has never bitten anyone.
BEHAVIOR
He somewhat knows sit. He is house-trained and he rarely has accidents. He is usually taken for walks about 3 times daily. He is well-behaved when left home alone and is not left alone in a yard. When off leash, he keeps his distance and is hard to catch. He has interacted with other dogs, and owner states he is usually respectful and will not play with them. He has not bitten another animal.
PERSONALITY & HABITS
He is a mostly indoor dog with a medium activity level who has been described as mellow, shy, and friendly. Owner states he is very affectionate and has a large personality. He isn’t bothered if you touch his food bowl while he is eating, if you move him off the furniture, or if you give him a bath. He is friendly when you brush him and when you disturb him while he is sleeping. He likes to follow his owner around or stay in the same room as his owner when home. He is nervous and hides during storms and fireworks. He eats wet food only. He prefers to go to the bathroom on the cement. He slept wherever he felt most comfortable.
BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE
Tino was verl calm and affectionate during intake. He allowed to be picked up, rubbed, and collared by an admissions counselor. Tino scanned positive for a microchip.
