Medical Behavior: Green, Age: 12 years, Sex: Female
Weight: 7 lbs
DVM Intake Exam; Estimated age: 10- 12 years; Microchip noted on Intake? No; History : Stray; Subjective: BARH. No csvd; Observed Behavior – Timid, but allowed all handling; Objective ; P = wnl; R = wnl; BCS 4/9; EENT: Cataracts OU, hypermature OD, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted; Oral Exam: Mild to moderate dental tartar/periodontal disease; PLN: mildly prominent submandibular LN; H/L: Grade IV-V/VI heart murmur ausculted, Lungs clear, eupnic; ABD: Tense, but not overtly painful, no masses palpated; U/G: intact female, ~3-4cm in diameter firm mass palpated over right cranial mammary gland; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat; CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Rectal: normal externally; CBC: Chem: Assessment; 1) Cataracts OU- blind; 2) Heart Murmur- suspect underlying cardiac disease over physiologic; 3) Mammary mass- r/o benign vs malignant (50% of canine mammary tumors are malignant) Prognosis: fair to guarded; Plan: Scheduled for chest radiographs tomorrow; Seek NH placement- recommend echocardiogram prior to any surgery (such as OHE and mammary mass biopsy/removal) SURGERY: Permanent waiver due to age, heart murmur

Basic Information: Tikki was brought in as a stray so her history is unknown at this time. She appears to be an older, small mixed breed female.
Medical Notes: Tikki appears to be blind in both eyes and has a mass on her right side mammary chain.
Behavior Notes: Tikki was quiet and shy during intake. She allowed counselor to pick her up and collar her.
