01/24/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: 360 – a perfect circle…..what an interesting name choice for this handsome pup…..Surrendered to our care as his owner his ill, Three Sixty is a bit shy and probably overwhelmed at his change in circumstance. We’re told that he’s friendly to all and loves being pet, and yes, he lay his head on my lap and loved being stroked, closing his eyes to savor the contact. So sweet. We are also told he’s been around young children, doesn’t guard his ‘stuff’, loves to play tug, is well behaved when left home alone and loves to go on brisk walks. 360 showed off his housetraining skills as soon as we were out the door and walked nicely to the park. Ignoring other dogs we pass, he’s responsive to his human on the other end of the leash. He takes time to warm up but once you’re his friend you’re a friend for life! Although we’re told that 360 does not like other dogs or cats, he ignored a whining dog in an adjoining pen and in group greeted the helper dog and then goes off to explore the pen. Low key and calm, Three Sixty takes his time surveying his surroundings and getting to know his person and his calm acceptance of it all won my heart.
01/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD

Three Sixty is not thriving in the kennel environment. We have seen improvement in his kennel presence, but he has been noted to growl at times when approached. He also shows signs of distress when returned to his kennel, pulling back and avoiding returning to his kennel. He cannot be coaxed with treats or toys. It is in Three Sixty’s best interest to leave the kennel environment and move into a stable home quickly. 1/22 SAFER: Three Sixty walks calmly on leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. 01/22/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Three Sixty approaches slowly during greeting. He has displayed a bit of sexually motivated behavior during interaction, as well as offered a few bows during one occasion. Three Sixty became tense, barked, and growled while passing a male dog on-leash. According Three Sixty’s previous owner cites that “ThreeSixty does not get along with other dogs or cats, he will lunge, bark and growl when he comes across another dog or cat in the street”. Based on these observations, the behavior department recommends that Three Sixty does not go into a home with other dogs until he has had time to acclimate into a new home environment, and his behaviors concerning them can be followed up on. Three Sixty slowly approaches the gate to greet, sniffing the helper dog and eventually offering a low wag. When he enters the pen he briefly postures to mount, but does not; instead he explores the yard with the other dog occasionally approaching to sniff her. 1/26: Three Sixty greets the female helper politely, and offers a few bows. He may become a bit sexualyl motivated behavior but does not make full intent to mount. He growls when passing by a male dog while on leash
