I am a female tan basenji mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/12/2016 from NY 10454, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Behavior during intake: Taurus allowed me to bear hug her, pick her up, collar her, pet her and touch her paws. She showed no signs of aggression.

Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft No paw squeeze conducted due to medical condition of feet Flank squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Toy 1. Dog playfully engages, keeps a firm grip, body soft Summary: No concerning behaviors were seen on this assessment. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Summary PLAYGROUP: Summary: Taurus has not been to playgroup due to her bite quarantine.
