I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/12/2016 from NY 10454, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/12/16 12:30 Basic information: Taurus is estimated to be about 1year and 6 months. She was found as a stray on 11/12/16. Her finder described her as very friendly and calm. Behavior during intake: Taurus allowed me to bear hug her, pick her up, collar her, pet her and touch her paws. She showed no signs of aggression.

KNOWN HISTORY: Unknown Unaltered, stray Other notes: Taurus’s finder described her as friendly and calm. Taurus allowed all handling at intake. SAFER ASSESSMENT: 11/17/2016 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft No paw squeeze conducted due to medical condition of feet Flank squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Toy 1. Dog playfully engages, keeps a firm grip, body soft Summary: No concerning behaviors were seen on this assessment. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Summary PLAYGROUP: Summary: Taurus has not been to playgroup due to her bite quarantine.
