DVM Intake Exam; Estimated age:10 y; Microchip noted on Intake? yes; History :stray; Subjective: very weak on hind legs–requires assistance to stand up but then can walk; Observed Behavior -wags tail, allows exam; Objective ;T =;P =60; R =pant; BCS 3/9; EENT: ou sclerosis, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted; Oral Exam:mod tartar; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: SS felt. MSI: semi ambulatory: weak, esp in rear legs with some atrophy skin free of parasites, dry coat. single pendulousmass 1″ diameter in area on right caudal mg (seems to be skin mass); CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment: mass. paresis hind limbs: arthritis vs neuropathy; Prognosis: fair. poor for return to full function, but could have comfortable “golden years”; Plan:radiographs, pain control
