No csvd. Observed Behavior – Timid, but allows all handling Objective: P = wnl R = wnl BCS 4/9 EENT: Cataracts OU, moderately thickened and erythemic pinnae AU with mild ceruminous discharge, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: Severe dental/peridontal disease- bottom incisors and lower canines appear loose. PLN: No enlargements noted. H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: spayed female, no discharge MSI: Ambulatory x 4 with mild LHL lameness; Left back paw mild to moderately swollen, erythemic and painful, Ulcerative/moist dermatitis noted within interdigital space of LB paw. fur matted around all four paws, roughened haircoat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: normal externally. Assessment: 1) Geriactric 2) Cataracts 3) Otitis Externa 4) Severe dental disease 5) Matted fur 6) Swollen left back paw- r/o skin disease (allergies, less likely parasites, immune-mediated, neoplasia) vs migrating fb (and ensuing cellulitis) vs orthopedic disease (microfracture, luxation) Prognosis: fair Plan: Start Rimadyl 2.2mg/kg PO BID x 5 days Start Clavamox 13.75mg/kg PO BID x 7 days Start foot soaks in chlorhexidine BID x 5 days If no improvement, recommend radiographs Seek NH placement
