Basic Information:
Storm is a 5 year old female that has no past or current medical issues that the previous owner is aware of. Previous owner had Storm for almost 5 years but cannot keep Storm due to the fact the he is moving and his residence does not allow any large breed animals.
Socialization:
According to the previous owner, around strangers, Storm is friendly and outgoing. Owner had a 6 year old grandchild and stated that Storm was respectful but plays rough. Around adults, Storm plays in an exuberant and sometimes rough manner. Storm has lived with one other small dog and was extremely playful and would play rough with the other dog. Storm does not have a bite history.
Behavior:
Previous owners stated that Storm does have a tendency to relieve herself indoors if not let out or walked. Storm is not bothered when she hears fireworks or storms. Storm is fine with all grooming agents but does not like having a bath and will try to run away. Storm isn’t bothered when an unfamiliar person approaches the home/yard or a family member.
For a New Family to Know:
Storm is described as friendly, affectionate, excitable, and playful with a medium activity level. When in the home, Storm likes to roam around and keep to herself. Storms favorite toys are her squeaky chew toys and bones. She also loves to play fetch. Storm was kept mostly outdoors and only went in the house at night or during bad weather. Storm was fed dry dog food brand pedigree. According to previous owner, Storm is partially house trained when indoors. Storm usually goes to the bathroom on the grass or on the cement when outside. When left alone in the home, Storm would be well-behaved. Storm knows commands sit, come, give paw, and heel. For exercise, she enjoyed playing and running in the yard. On the leash, Storm an pull hard or slightly depending on home excited she is and when she would be off the leash, she would remain by previous owner’s side.
Behavior during intake: Storm had a loose and wiggly body during intake. Counselor was able to scan for a mc, collar and take a picture without any issues.

Tag: 2. Follows at end of leash, body soft, a bit distracted. Lightly jumps up/snorts at end of game.
Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw.
Squeeze 2: 3. Dog is soft in body and eye, and moves her legs/body so that the Assessor is unable to hold the paw
Toy 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip, body neutral. She does not place her body between you and the toy.
Summary: Storm displayed no behavior concerns during her handling assessment.

GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs, Storm is polite and gentle when greeting a senior male. She was very tolerant when we would attempt to mount her. She engaged in gentle and dainty play, and often solicited his attention.
