04/21/17 20:49 Basic info: Storm is a 3 year old AMPT her owner surrendered her to the ACC due to the fact she bit one of his family members. He has had storm for almost 3 years and she has no known medical issues. Socialization: Owner stated that when around strangers Storm is friendly and outgoing. Storm has not spent time around children. Owner stated that when playing with adults she is gentle but he has not allowed her to play with children. Storm has not spent time in the home with other dogs or cats so it is unknown how she will react. Behavior: Storm has bitten a person before but has never bit another animal. Owner stated that during storms or fireworks Storm is nervous. When taking her food treats or toys away owner stated that she isn’t bothered. Storm is afraid of being bathed and to have her nails trimmed. Owner stated that when someone unfamiliar approaches the house or family member Storm will bark. Owner described Storm as friendly affectionate and playful with a high activity level. Storm likes ropes and balls and loves to play fetch and tug. Storm has been kept mostly indoors and eats dry food. Storm is very house broken and never has accidents. When left alone in the house she is well behaved and has never been crated. Storm knows the sit and come commands. For exercise she is used to brisk walks on the leash. When off the leash owner stated that she may run away.

According to Storm’s previous guardian, Storm has not spent time in the home with other dogs. 4/26: Due to Storm’s DOH status, a muzzle is placed on her for an off leash dog-dog interaction. She displays nervous body language -a tense face and tucked tail- when greeting a novel male dog. She greets him and allows him to greet her, before keeping to herself as she explores the pen.
