12/17/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
12/17/16 15:31 Stefano A1099928 is a 1yr old male black and white AMPBT/Border Collie mix that was found tied up to a fence in a park in the Bronx a week ago. The finder isn’t able to keep him due to no large dogs being allowed in their residence but they stated he was friendly, appeared to be house broken, barks a lot especially when left alone, is a little rough/too excited when playing, ate dry Pedigree dog food twice a day, slept on linen and allowed them to walk him to our BXAC. During intake Stefano had a super loose, wiggly body, is quite a happy, hyper boy and allowed all handling. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of. Stefano took treats eagerly but gently and seemed to enjoy being pet and giving/receiving kisses & hugs. He is pretty strong, pulls hard on his leash and can be a little mouthy at times but doesn’t apply much pressure however he responds to correction well. Stefano was walked to his kennel, drank a half a bowl of water and walked into the kennel on his own as soon as he saw me place his food inside. As I was walking away from him he began to bark/whine.
12/24/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Stunning in his lush black and white coat, Mr. Stefano is ready for a walk and some play time. Quickly taking advantage of the ‘facilities’ once we were out the door, Stefano looks up when he finished his business, waiting to be told he’s a good boy. So cute!! Wrapped in a warm fleece coat against the morning chill we head to the park. Stefano pulls on the leash so will benefit from a harness and/or some leash training and as he loves treats will do well with positive reinforcement training. He poses for photos doing the head tilt thing I love and doesn’t mind being tethered as he poses. In a pen off leash he played briefly with a toy, showed off more sits, enjoyed more treats and got a bit mouthy and jumpy when he was excited. He’s young and lively and looking for an experienced adopter to provide love, structure, guidance and more love. The Urban Dictionary defines Stefano as “a really hot guy, hot body and nice smile’….they must have known Stefano when they wrote that as it describes him to a T. If your lifestyle is active and loving, Stefano is hoping you’ll ask to meet him today.
