05/18/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Steel may be the color of our boy’s coat but that’s where the similarities end. “Wiggles” isn’t nearly as serious of a name but it certainly would better apply. Our Steel, at barely over 1 year-old, is about as smiley, happy, and yes, wiggly as they come. Steel was surrendered to our care to make room for a new baby. His favorite activities are listed as “playing tug of war” and following the rest of the family about the house (just a baby, himself). And it’s true. Steel’s top priority is being as close to you as possible. From the moment we met, Steel just couldn’t quit me, and I have to say the feeling was mutual. I don’t know if it’s his lovely grey and white mask, his little white socks, or that mile-wide smile, but Steel has a way of burrowing into your heart, curling up there, and just staying for a spell. His favorite position is right at your side often looking up at you with that big goofy grin. Should you choose to give him an old-fashioned butt rub — well you’d better cancel any plans you might have after that because Steel is now yours for life, and you’re “taken” until further notice. Just a baby himself, all wily limbs, excitement, innocence, and yes, some drool, Steel is lost in the woods of the shelter, looking to find his way home. Will you show him? Steel is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan’s ACC.

Steel show a bit of concern during the tag interaction he became a bit over arousal. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification. We also recommend a home without young children; older children can be considered pending interaction. Look: 3.
