He has no known health issues and has not seen a vet recently.
Previously lived with:: Children, Dog
How is this dog around strangers?: Static is friendly and outgoing with strangers, he will approach and allow them to pet him.
How is this dog around children?: Static has lived with two children, 4 and 13 years old, in his previous home. He was respectful around them and has no reports of negative encounters.
How is this dog around other dogs?: Static has lived with a small female dog in his previous home and he was playful and respectful around her. They co-existed well in the home. He can play with high energy and due to his size he can become overwhelming for small children or small dogs.

Bite history:: Static has no bite history.
Housetrained:: Yes
Energy level/descriptors:: Very High
Has this dog ever had any medical issues?: No
For a New Family to Know: Static likes to follow his family around when they are home. He likes to play with toy balls, and play fetch and chase. He has been mostly an indoor dog and sleeps on his owners bed. He eats both wet and dry food and likes all kinds of treats. He is mostly house trained and rarely has accidents. He is trained to go on wee-wee pads. When left alone in the house he is typically well behaved, and he has not been crate trained. He knows the command sit, and slow walks or brisk walks for exercise on leash. He has been walked off leash and stays close to the owners side.

Summary:: Social, attention-seeking; startled easily when he hit items in the room.
Date of initial:: 10/27/2017
Summary:: Social, energetic, allowed all handling.
ENERGY LEVEL:: Static is described as active and exuberant. He will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm. We recommend feeding with puzzle feeders and food-dispensing toys. And we recommend only force-free, reward-based training techniques for Static.
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: EXPERIENCE (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience, especially with the behaviors outlined below)
Behavior Asilomar: TM – Treatable-Manageable
Recommendations:: No cats,Single-pet home,Recommend no dog parks
Recommendations comments:: No cats: Static is reported to play roughly with cats and therefore may be unsafe around cats. We strongly advise against placement into a home with cats or where he may come into contact with cats. _X_ Single-pet home/Recommend no dog parks: Due to the behaviors that Static has shown during playgroup, we feel that Static should not visit dog parks and be the only resident dog. The Behavior Department recommends that he be socialized in a more controlled setting until his behavior towards other dogs can be further addressed. Reward-based, force-free training can be utilized to help Static associate dogs with things he enjoys like toys or treats.
