10/07/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Squash made sure that I did not forget him in his kennel. He dances, cries a little. He is really good-looking in his cognac-colored coat. His eyes are begging and his “Black Mouth Cur” muzzle is quite attractive. Ok, we are going out. Squash’s tail wags a lot now. His nose touches the lock. I know how to open a door, Squash. Squash is so excited to go out. He pulls only slightly on the leash, does his business at once and sits beautifully on command and for treats that he takes politely from my hand. He does not chase the pigeons but keeps an eye on the squirrel nagging us while we are smooching on a bench. I bet that Squash would not mind to give him a chase. He whines a little when another dog passes us and does the same in playgroups with his peers, although he greets with a relaxed body. Squash is a gentle and friendly dog, a little anxious and shaken up by his presence in a shelter environment but relaxing with his human friends. Give him a home to call his own and a person to love and Squash will sing rather than whine. Come and meet him soon at the Manhattan Care Center. Squash so wants to be your friend.
