Do you love low-riders? A big fan of snortly sweethearts? Is your ideal boyfriend small, dark and roguishly handsome? Then run, don’t walk, to our Manhattan Care Center because there’s a cute new piglet on the block who just might be your perfect match–Meet Spumoni! Named for an Italian ice cream, he’s a pretty tasty little guy himself and it’s impossible to walk by his kennel without giving into the temptation to take his pleading smushed-against-the-door face and wagging tail out for a walk. As of this writing Spumoni has just arrived, so he’s understandably feeling a bit stressed and unsure of himself, pulling eagerly on leash, panting strongly and following his nose this way and that as we toddle down the street. But never fear, he’s a well-mannered gentleman at heart and greet s other dogs politely before taking care of all his business then moving on to his full-time ‘job’ as a doggie detective. That adorable nose may be snubby but it works just fine and he thoroughly investigates everything from a discarded plastic bag (empty!) to the tantalizing scent of a passing pizza slice. Off-leash in the yard Spumoni’s all about getting back rubs and showing off his excellent ‘come’ and ‘sit’ skills in exchange for treats taken very gently from my fingers and he’s one of those dogs who makes delightfully satisfying smacking noises as he eats–too cute! He’s one-of-a-kind and chock full of personality, the perfect pet for an active, outdoorsy family who appreciates the simple things in life–food, fun and lots and lots of love. Welcome delicious Spumoni into your heart and home today and start making this the best summer ever!
