06/04/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/04/15 11:31 Sprinkles was found in a park. The finder brought her in saying that she heard barking this morning coming from her sons room. She did not know that her son brought the dog home. She is currently pregnant and can not keep her. SHe said that sprinkles is a very sweet dog but growled a bit with her younger son beacuse her son is 2 years old and was being too affectionate and rough. During intake, Sprinkles was quiet and shy. She allowed all handling. She allowed petting, scanning, and collaring. She allowed photos. The finder placed her in a kennel for me. She was friendly inside of the kennel and wanted attention.

06/07/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sprinkles was fearful and repeatedly attempted to get away from the handler during the assessment. When attempting to hold her head loosely for look, she continually jumped back and began whimpering. When the assessor began sensitivity the dog was very stiff, giving whale eye and immediately vocalized and tried to bite. The assessor moved on to resources where Sprinkles showed no interest in food or rawhide and minimal interest in toys. Sprinkles was brought to the care center as a stray. Her finders said she was very sweet dog but growled a bit with her 2 year old son was being too affectionate and rough. Sprinkles was very nervous and seemed to be very head shy and uncomfortable with any handling around her head and neck. She was removed from her upper kennel with ease and no signs of aggression. The Behavior Department believes Sprinkles would do best if placed with a New Hope Partner that will allow her to warm up to new people and environments at her own pace and help her to become more comfortable with handling. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 5. Dog growls and tries to bite. Food. No interest. Toy 1. Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then walks away. Rawhide 1. No interest. Dog – dog 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears erect, and lip neutral
